The driver of the Nissan refused to stop and continued north on Seacrest Blvd at the posted speed limit. The car then headed east on NE 14th Avenue where the driver turned the car’s lights off in an attempt to evade police. The car continued until it stopped in the driveway of 137 NE 16th Avenue. The driver later identified as B/M Patrick Michel DOB 03-01-90 rapidly opened the driver’s door in an attempt to run however, officers quickly converged on the car.

Michel refused to comply with officers commands to exit the car. He was subsequently tased. A search incident to arrest located contraband in the car.

Michel was sent to county jail. 17-0 hours Burglary (Auto) 1475 W Gateway Boulevard Victim reported that he witnessed 2 Hispanic males removing items from the back of his white 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van bearing FL tag DMHC74.

As he approached his van the males fled to a newer model white Toyota Corolla (victim was unable to get tag number). Victim observed that the Corolla had several of his items from his van in the open trunk. In an effort to stop the Corolla, the victim pulled a hammer from the trunk and smashed the rear window. The Corolla was last seen heading east on Gateway Blvd. Officers canvassed the area with negative results. Taken were a chainsaw and a drill ($450.00).

17-0 hours Strong Arm Robbery 217 N. Federal Hwy (Chevron). Ford Program. Victim reported that a black male subject with the street name “Magic,” approached him pushed him down and stole his black Genesis bicycle.

17-0 hours Grand Theft Auto 43 Meadows Drive. Victim reported that her black 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan bearing FL tag 349PXQ was stolen from in front of her residence. Video footage from a neighboring residence shows the vehicle being driven away at 0225 hours. 17-0 hours Burglary Auto 14201 Mahogany Drive. Victim reported that unknown suspects entered her vehicle between 0100 and 0830 hours and stole a purse and miscellaneous items.

Suspect made entry by shattering the front passenger window. 17-0 hours Burglary Auto 16205 Mahogany Drive.

Victim reported that unknown suspects entered his vehicle between 2130 and 0900 hours and stole miscellaneous items and clothing. Suspect made entry by shattering the rear passenger window. 17-0 hours Failed to Stop 1900 N. Seacrest Blvd.(Ezell Hester). Officers attempted to stop a reckless vehicle.

Pursuit as terminated. Vehicle struck concrete block in the roadway and became disabled. All occupants fled on foot juvenile driver was apprehended several blocks away. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

17-0 hours Shots Fired 207 W. Officers heard multiple gunshots in the 200 block of W.

No victims or shell casings could be located. Boynton Briefing - Nov. 29, 2072 2255 hours Stolen Auto 701 Rider Rd. Units responded to the aforementioned location in reference to a delayed stolen vehicle. Upon arrival the victim stated he parked his Blue 2005 Buick Sedan bearing FL. Tag Z74BID in his driveway. The victim exited the vehicle leaving the keys in the ignition; when he returned a few hours later the vehicle had been taken by unknown suspect(s).

Vehicle was subsequently entered into NCIC/FCIC as stolen. 17-068533 Burglary to Residence 429 NW 7th Street 1727 hours US Marshal’s detained B/M Jonathan Rivera-Hernandez after burglarizing a residence. Investigation and surveillance cameras revealed Rivera-Hernandez removed a package from the curtilage of residence. Rivera- Hernandez was processed at BBPD and later transported to PBCJ. 2 Non-Fatal Overdoses 17-068563 Bud’s Chicken and Seafood/ 509 E Boynton Beach Blvd 17-068569 Palmetto Green Park/ 421 NE 13th Ave 17-0 hours AOD/PBSO Orange Street Officers responded to the above location in reference to an active domestic violence warrant. PBSO deputy advised that subject, b/m was known to resist and fled from officers. BBPD set up a perimeter around the residence as PBSO made entry.

He was detained without incident. Police target drug dealers in year-long investigation BOYNTON BEACH – Police have arrested 16 people following a year-long investigation targeting drug dealers in the City of Boynton Beach.

More arrests are expected as a result of Operation Cherry Pill, an investigation focused on curbing the opiate-induced overdoses that have overwhelmed the city over the past two years. Police arrested 10 men during a sweep today throughout Palm Beach County that also resulted in the seizure of $1,240 cash, two handguns and dozens of plastic bags of heroin, cocaine, crack and marijuana. Three other men were arrested in September and October. Federal authorities secured the indictment of three additional men who were taken into custody earlier this month. During those arrests, authorities also seized $21,813 cash, 15 cell phones, and 729 grams of drugs, to include suspected heroin, suspected cocaine and suspected Percocet. “Lives were saved today,” Boynton Beach Police Chief Jeffrey S. “Addiction is a public health crisis which has a law enforcement component.

Today, we and our law enforcement partners reinforce our resolve to address the supply side of this issue. I encourage other community stakeholders to continue addressing the demand component.” The joint investigation was conducted by the Boynton Beach Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration West Palm Beach District Office, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Delray Beach Police Department and Lantana Police Department.

Since January of this year, there have been 542 drug overdoses, 56 of which resulted in death. In 2016, there were 433 drug overdoses, 35 of which resulted in death.

Subsequent first aid was provided by BBFR to wit the patient regained consciousness. He was transported to Bethesda Hospital for further medical treatment. 17-068365 Shots Fired 1901 North Seacrest Blvd/ Ezell Hester Center 2059 hours Officers heard several shots fired while conducting extra patrol at Cherry Hill Market/ 1213 NW 4th Street. Several shell casings were found within Ezell Hester (basketball court); however no suspects or witnesses were located at this time.

17-0 hours Attempted Robbery 532 E. Wool bright Road Officers responded to the above location in reference to an attempted robbery. Contact was made with the caller/cashier who stated that while working behind the counter at the cash register, an Asian male walked into the business and demanded money. She yelled at the male, stating “no” you are not getting any money. The male walked out of the store and disappeared.

She described the male as Asian, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts, and carrying a black bag, possibly back pack. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the male. Boynton Briefing - Nov. 23-27, 2003 Failed to Stop for L.E.O 1300 W. Gateway Blvd 2134 hrs Officers on patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding black/red motorcycle (unknown tag/make/model). The operator of the motorcycle ignored the officers emergency equipment and fled westbound on Gateway Blvd.

The motorcycle then turned southbound onto Renaissance Commons Blvd while increasing its reckless speed. Officers discontinued their attempt at stopping the motorcycle. Other officers who were responding to assist were able to see the motorcycle enter I-95 northbound from Boynton Beach Blvd still at a high rate of speed.

17-067985 Grand Theft Ezell Hester / 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd 1841hrs Officers responded to the park and met with the caller who alleged to have been the victim of a robbery. Investigation revealed that the caller arranged to sell two I-phones to an unknown subject using the App Offer-up. The victim met with two juvenile subjects and handed one phone to each subject for inspection. The two subjects suddenly took off running in separation directions with I-Phones in hand. The suspects were described one light skin b/m with an afro, wearing a white shirt with basketball shorts and being approximately 5,08 ft tall.

The second subject was described as a b/m average size with a dark skin tone, wearing blue basketball shorts with no shirt and having short hair. 17-068038 Rec.

Stolen Vehicle 900 S. Seacrest Blvd 2218 hrs Officers on patrol conducted a traffic on a speeding silver Chevy Cruze. An NCIC/FCIC records check revealed that the vehicle was very recently stolen from PBSO jurisdiction.

Deputies from PBSO who were still working the scene of the auto theft quickly responded to the traffic stop. The deputies supplicated to take over the investigation. As a result, the two occupants of the vehicle were arrested by PBSO deputies.

17-068079 Block Party 300 NE 15th Ave 0143 hrs Officers responded to the are to investigate an aggravated assault complaint. Officers came across large group of approximately 300 individuals and vehicle attending a house party. Multiple Officers joined in and the party was promptly shut down. All attendees left the area without incident while registering minimal objections. 17-067805 Burglary to Vessel 712 NW 3rd St 1717 hrs Officers responded to the above address in reference to a delayed burglary to a vessel. The victim told officers that his boat has been parked at the above address while undergoing some repairs. The victim stated that he recently noticed that a navigation device was stolen from the boat.

It was unknown when the device was stolen from the boat. 17-067843 Agg. Battery (Stabbing) 1930 Boynton Bay Ct 2124 hrs Officers responded to the above address following the report of a stabbing. Officers met with the caller who was bleeding from his right arm. The victim told officers that he was stabbed while engaged in a physical altercation with a male who was visiting his neighbor. Officers were able to locate a suspect who was seen leaving the area. A show-up was conducted and the victim positively identified the suspect.

The victim was then taken to Bethesda Hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, the victim decided to not press charges and elected to cease cooperating with officers and Detective. 17-0 AOD Boca PD Ezell Hester Officers assisted Boca PD Detectives regarding a warrant pick-up for b/m/j.

He was placed into custody and turned over to JAC. 17-0 Overdose Non-Fatal Palmetto Greens Pk Female subject was located lying in the parking lot of Palmetto Greens Pk, accompanied by another female. Both admitted to injecting heroin. EVZIO (naloxone HCI injection) Auto-Injector utilized which assisted in reviving subject. TOT BMH and expected to make full recovery. 17-0 Stolen Auto 13 Crossing Cir A 2005 white Chevy van (Fl 269PGD) was parked on 11/25 at 1945 hours, unlocked with keys in center console. On 11/26 at 1021 hours PBSO contacted BBPD to advise that the van was involved in an accident and three black males fled the scene.

Owner was unaware van was stolen until BBPD made contact. 17-0 Burglary Attempt 560 Horizons W Window screen was damaged but no entry made. 17- Burglary Auto 415 SW 5 Ave Vehicle rear window smashed and some tools stolen from within. 17- Stolen Auto Recovery 100 NE 19 Ave Black 2008 VW Jetta was recovered. 17-67666 Vandalism to Business 2700 Quantum lakes Blvd 20:26 hours Unknown individuals made entry into at least (20) mail boxes inside the mail room at Quantum Lakes community clubhouse.

The face plate of the mail boxes had multiple gouges and appeared to be pried open. US Postal Inspection Services were notified.

Police arrest Caloosa Park murder suspect Boynton Beach Police have arrested a 17-year-old Riviera Beach man for the fatal shooting of a man Sunday night in Caloosa Park. 21, 2022 0058 hours Strong Arm Robbery 2200 Southeast 2nd Street Victim was walking to the Kwik Stop when a newer model red Toyota, possibly Corolla, pulled alongside him. The vehicle stopped and the front passenger exited, began to converse with him about his shoes and offered to buy them. When the victim refused the back seat passenger exited the vehicle and together the passengers of the vehicle forcefully took his shoes off his person. The suspects entered the vehicle which fled westbound on Southwest 23rd Avenue.

The victim described the suspects to be black males approximately 6’00” with a thick build. The platoon responded to 2 non-fatal overdose during the course of the shift. 17-0 Burglary-Auto 3120 Hypoluxo Rd Purse stolen from vehicle while left unattended. Suspect was possibly driving a grey VW leaving in unknown DOT.

A gray Acer lap top, a black Hp laptop, and a black hand purse containing credit cards and a green card were taken. 17-066441 Susp Inc Shots Fired 2320 NW 2nd St 19:02 hours Victim advised he saw an unknown black 4 door vehicle park in the front of his drive way at which time a B/M got out of the vehicle and walked through his back yard and into the back yard of 2351 NW 1st Street.

As the victim was talking to someone he heard 2-3 shots in the area but did not identify the source of the shots or was able to confirm whether they were related to the B/M that had walked through his yard. 17-066468 Susp Inc Shots Fired 428 NE 14th Ave 21:42 hours Caller advised 4-5 shots were heard in the area. A light colored four door vehicle drove away from the area at a high rate of speed after residents heard the shots. Officers canvassed the area with negative results. 17-066475 Burg Res Delayed 3589 S.

Federal Hwy 21:44 hours Victim advised sometime between 09:00 hours and 17:30 hours unknown subjects entered her apartment. The victim’s custom pink golf clubs were taken. 17-066472 Agg Assault Fiream N. Seacrest Blvd and W. Gateway 21:55 hours BBPD units responded to the 2100 block of N Seacrest Blvd for possible shots fired. Officers were unable to locate any victims or evidence in the immediate area.

20 minutes later our communications was contacted by a woman who advised her vehicle was shot at in the area of Gateway Blvd. And Seacrest Blvd. Several round struck the vehicle. 17-0 hours Auto Burglary 510 Northeast 3rd Street Officers responded to an in progress auto burglary to which the defendant, Sylvester Thomas, fled prior to our arrival.

Sylvester was located behind 501 Northeast 3rd Street and held down by a witness. Officers were made aware of this and arrested Sylvester who was processed and turned over to the PBCJ. 17-0 hours Robbery Attempt 801 North Congress Avenue Suspect entered the business and attempted to return a pair of shoes. Due to the suspect not having the receipt the victim advised the suspect he could not complete the return. The suspect became enraged, walked behind the counter and battered the victim, ultimately knocking the victim to the ground, while he attempted gain access to the cash register. After several failed attempts to open the cash register the suspect fled and exited the mall entering a silver four door sedan. Suspect was described to be a black male with short hair, approximately 6’02” and 200 lbs.

(Inlet Inn Motel) Officers responded to the Inlet Inn Motel in reference to an unresponsive 32 yoa w/m. Upon arrival BBFD deemed the patient expired after life saving measures failed to resuscitate him. Further investigation revealed the decedent most likely expired due to an overdose. DB/CS responded. 17-0 hours Stolen Vessel 2010 North Federal Highway Suspects detached a double jetski trailer (FL# ENCF57) from the victim’s vehicle by cutting the lock from the hitch.

The trailer was a Triton 14ft double jetski trailer which contained a blue Yamaha F25 (FL# 8768PZ - HIN# YAMA1590D515). This occurred between 1615 – 1659 hours. 17-0 hours Burglary Auto 635 Shore Drive Victim observed a person running through her yard and exited her residence to investigate. Upon doing so the victim discovered a newer model Nissan Altima (NOI) parked in front of her residence and what the victim believed to be a white female running from her vehicle and getting into the Altima which was last seen heading westbound towards Federal Highway. It’s believed that the victim interrupted the burglary as no items were stolen.

17-0 hours Burglary Auto 728 Northeast 8th Avenue Victim reported parking her vehicle in the driveway at 1840 hours and leaving it unsecured while carrying her daughter into the residence. Victim returned to the vehicle five minutes later and discovered that suspects entered and stole the vehicle’s lease contract from the vehicle’s glove box. 17-0 hours Burglary Auto 802 Ocean Inlet Drive Victim reported parking her vehicle in the driveway at 1730 hours where it was left unsecure. Victim returned at 1930 hours and discovered that suspects ransacked the vehicle only stealing the center console plastic tray. The suspects are believed to the same suspects from 17-064430. Officers responded to one (1) non-fatal overdose.

17-0 Burglary (Trailer) 3100 S Congress Avenue #9 Victim reported that between 1700 hours on 11-6-17 and 0700 hours this morning unknown person(s) entered his white 2008 Diac Trailer bearing Florida tag 656QLQ by cutting the hasp. Victim came to work at the Drapery Lane and found the doors to the trailer wide open.

Victim reported that the trailer was rummaged through but nothing appears missing. 17-0 hours Burglary (Attempt) 3339 S Federal Highway #H Witness reported that while walking her dog in the Seaborne Cove neighborhood, she heard the sound of glass breaking. She walked around the corner and observed her neighbor’s window had been shattered. Entry was not made as the window (high impact) was still intact.

Responding officers also discovered that the screen to another window had been removed. A canvas of the area was negative. 17-0 hours Robbery (Armed) 501 SE 18th Avenue The Loss Prevention Officer for Publix observed a black female conceal 3-4 boxes of over-the-counter allergy medicine ($45.00) in her purse. The female then passed all points of sale and exited the store. The LPO attempted to detain her and recover the medication. As he was doing so a struggle ensued and the female sprayed the LPO with pepper-spray and fled on foot.

The female was located; detained; and a show-up conducted with positive results. Search incident to arrest, officers found the pepper-spray canister in her purse. The medication was not recovered. Marine officers responded to a boat fire and assisted in extinguishing the flames and evacuating the occupants. 17-0 hours Boat Accident 1500 S.

The Marine Unit responded to a head on boat collision in the proximity of the Woolbright Bridge. Officers assisted with evacuating injured occupants and are conducting a BUI investigation. 17-0 hours Drug Arrest 103 E.

Boynton Beach Blvd (Palm Food). Officers arrested Ashton Millines for numerous drug offenses. During the course of the arrest Millines resisted and several officers were required to use force to subdue him.

17-0 hours Burglary Autos N. Congress Ave. Officers responded to numerous reports of auto burglaries in the Congress Avenue corridor. Unknown suspects made entry to vehicles by breaking windows with a spring loaded center punch. The burglaries were believed to have taken place between 1930 and 2030 hours.

Crime Scene processed the vehicles. The locations included Carrabas, LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness and Orange Theory Fitness.

Case numbers included the following: 17-063189 2317 hours Grand Theft Auto 1000 N. Marine unit responded to a report of a possible wave runner accident.

Investigation revealed Brian Powell stole the wave runner and fell off of it leaving him stranded in the ICW until he was helped to shore by passing boaters. As a result, Brian was arrested and turned over to the Palm Beach County Jail. Officers responded to 2 non-fatal overdoses. 17-0 hours Burglary (Auto) 1328 Fairfax Circle E Victim reported that back on 06-11-17 between 1600 and 1700 hours her wallet was stolen from the center-console of her unlocked 2010 Kia Forte bearing FL tag N462PM.

Victim had been at the 7-11 inside the store paying for gas when the incident occurred. The victim was not going to report until she started to notice suspicious activity in her account and was advised by loss prevention of Wells Fargo Bank to make a report. 17-0 hours Stolen Tag 2800 High Ridge Road Victim reported that between 1300 hours on 10-27-17 and 1200 hours this date unknown person(s) removed/stole his Florida tag 426RVD from his silver 2000 Pontiac Montana minivan. The car had been parked at the Tri-Rail station. Tag was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen. 17-0 hours Aggravated Assault 2301 S congress Avenue Victim stated that she and her roommate were arguing because the room had her boyfriend over last night.

In the course of the argument, the roommate became upset and attempted to stab the victim with a large kitchen knife. Victim was able to wrestle the knife away. While attempting to stab the victim, the roommate stabbed the wall twice (damage witnessed by officers).

Victim signed a refusal to prosecute but wanted roommate to leave. The roommate packed her belongings and voluntarily left the Whaler’s Cove residence. Boynton Briefing - Nov. 1, 2092 Shooting 111 S Atlantic Dr W 17:03 hours Victim reported to police he had been walking south on Seacrest Blvd when a white vehicle pulled up next to him and an unknown subject shot him in the leg. Subject to his interview with D-Bureau the victim changed his story and admitted that his friend accidently shot him while inside of 111 S.

The firearm was recovered from a laundry basket and was not reported stolen. 17-059267 Agg. Battery Cutting Inst. Seacrest Blvd 1931 hours Officers responded to Bethesda Hospital and met with the 17 year old victim of a delayed stabbing. The victim’s parents who were also present informed officers that the victim was involved in a fist fight with several male juveniles and one of the males stabbed the victim in the process.

The victim had several cuts on his person and a laceration to his forearm. The victim told officers the incident took place near a Presbyterian church on the way from Delray Beach. Officers were not able to determine the exact location and/or jurisdiction of the incident.

Investigation on-going. 17-059313 Pursuit / Carjacking Vehicle 1400 NW 1st Ct 0158 hours While on patrol, officers spotted a blue 2017 Toyota (FL tag HDLF13) that was stolen in a carjacking out of Delray Beach earlier in the day. After confirming the NCIC/FCIC Hit, a pursuit was authorized and officers pursued the vehicle northbound on I-95. The vehicle continued to flee from officers at a high rate of speed northbound on I-95. The pursuit was terminated at the Martin County Line and Officers were ordered to return to the City. As officers were returning to the City, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office relayed to BBPD Dispatch that the vehicle was disabled by a MCSO deputy’s stop stick near mile marker 102. MCSO deputies apprehended one male and a firearm from within the vehicle.

MCSO deputies and their helicopter were tracking for 2 other males that ran from the vehicle. MCSO ultimately located the other two males and took them into custody. He drove around with Magic in an effort to sell an Xbox and purchase some heroin. Victim was able to sell the console but unable to buy heroin. Magic asked to be dropped off to the rear of Galaxy Elementary at which point Magic punched him several times in the face and took his rental car, a white 2017 Nissan Altima bearing FL tag W171WJ. Victim stated he walked around for several hours before reporting it due to being ‘lost”. The car was entered into FCIC/NCIC as a felony vehicle.

Register now for the Citizens Police Academy The Boynton Beach Police Department is now accepting applications for the 39th class of the Citizens Police Academy, which begins Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays for nine consecutive weeks.

The program is free and open to residents and business leaders. The program, taught by police officers, aims to educate participants about police practices and the legal system as it pertains to police work.

The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of the police department through education and enhance community support of the officers. Of Contraband w/Intent 2500 SE 2nd St. While on patrol Officer Sohn spotted b/m Jean Joseph operating a 2010 White Mercedes C300 bearing FL. Sohn had knowledge of an active DNA warrant which was to be executed upon contact with Joseph. After conducting a stop on the vehicle; Sohn smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Joseph was subsequently detained pending a search of the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed the discovery of multiple narcotics and $2,744 in cash. Joseph was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to Sale (Crack Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed at BBPD and tot PBCJ.
