That's the focus of the DMACC Ford ASSET Program (). The partnership between Ford and Lincoln dealers, Ford Motor company, community colleges and technical schools is a two-year program that allows students to earn while they learn and gain hands-on technical experience while earning an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology. Ford Motor Company and DMACC have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide you with the best automotive training available. Your ASSET instructor is highly qualified and receives the very latest in training from Ford. Ford has provided the ASSET program at DMACC with many late model cars for educational use. These cars are equipped with the latest in automotive technology, including airbags, multi-plexing, and fiber-optics.
Ford has also supplied the ASSET program with IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System), a computerized interface to communicate with late model Ford and Lincoln vehicles. FORD FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Predoctoral, Dissertation, and Postdoctoral fellowships will be awarded in a national competition administered by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on behalf of the Ford Foundation. Individuals committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. Receipt of the fellowship award is conditioned upon each awardee providing satisfactory documentation that he or she meets the eligibility requirements. Awards will be made for study in research-based Ph.D. Programs; practice oriented degree programs are not eligible for support (see eligible fields). Prospective applicants should read carefully the eligibility requirements, the terms of the fellowship awards, application instructions and other information pertaining to the individual fellowship (,, or ) for which they are applying.
