I bought my son an innotab for xmas & so far we downloaded the 3 free ones with the free credits & i've bought 1 extra, I think they are really tbh, I have noticed when he plays the games they change once he's got so far. There are different ones for different ages & things like maths,english, spelling etc.

When you plug your innotab back in to the lappy/pc & update it, It should show you on the learning navigator how well your child is doing on which bits, where they are upto & what age they are learning. Ds1 is 6 & hates maths, tells me constantly he finds it hard in school etc, but yet when i plugged the innotab into the learning navigator it showed me that he was way above his age for maths lol I'm pleased with it in general, as my ds2 loves playing on the art studio bit too. We also have a leapster 2 & my son doesn't like it so wont use it. Both my daughters age 4 & 6 got their innotab2's last year for xmas and they have been a fantastic buy like everyone i downloaded a couple of games which u can download on 1 bit drop onto more than 1 innotab and my girls have loved them and i can keep an eye in how well they r doing. This year they have slowly got games cartidges and we now have brave, disney princess, mickey mouse, hello kitty and we have jake and thw neverland pirates on uts way x they have started pkayin the cartidges more and more and there is alot in the games cartridges. Only thing i didnt like was the battery problem and it needing batteries constantly so i bought rechargables and its been fine x also u defo need a memory card too x hope my review helps x. My DD (age 5) has had an Innotab 2 for a year or so and her brother (age 3) loved playing with it so much we just got an Innotab 3s for him.

Some of the download games are a bit rubbish but my kids still seem to like them and the cartridges definitely have a bit more to them, though they are pricey. I hadn't looked at the downloads for a while until I got the new one but I see you can get a package of stuff by age range which might be better. Either way, both my kids love theirs to bits.

And the 3s has a proper rechargeable battery - SO much better than the 2, which runs down the batteries really quickly - we end up just plugging it in all the time. My two year old got an innotab 3s for christmas.

I am not that impressed with the downloadable games. I have downloaded four for him. Two are too easy and two are too hard. The aged 1+ and 2+ ones are quite boring with not much to do. So should really be cheaper than £2.99 although he does like toot toot drivers, but the older ones are too difficult and he needs help. He loves the fireman one, although cant do it by himself yet.

From what I see there isn't much depth to the downloadable games, but im hoping they get better as he gets older. I with they did ones like the toca toca games on iphone as he loves those. We have got three cartridges: mickey mouse, thomas and donosaur game. Diamond D Grown Men Talk Rar.

He can play some of the games on them, but some are too difficult yet, but good for him to grow into and means that he shouldn't get bored of them too quickly. Some of the cartridges are £9.99 in some places at the minute, so thats q good saving and why we just got mickey mouse. I am overall really pleased with the innotab and the games, especially at the prices we have paid for things. We only got one free download too, so I think it's a current thing that you only get one and there used to be two previously, as the posts at the top are old posts.

Innotab Max Please ensure that, if you have prior purchases, then you have assigned your new Innotab Max to your Learning Lodge account that these purchases have been made with. Navigate to the 'Parental Controls' area of your Innotab Max and open the 'Download Manager'. If the status of your downloads is not displayed immediately, then please click the 'Refresh' icon, located in the top right hand corner of the screen, allowing the device a couple of minutes to check for available downloads. Using this menu you can manage the download status of any purchases, and once complete, they will be ready for use in the child's area of your Innotab Max.
