Thank you both. Much obliged. However, not sure of my question was fully understood or not, or if i fully understand so just some clarification. What I wanted to know is if the regular old CB disc would work with burnt backups? If not so, then the modded elf file will? I don't need a backup of CB unless that's the only way.
Also, what's ESR? Its possible to hot swap a real disk with a burned one if you are using ARmax or a codebreaker version that isn't supported with ESR. Just to break that down, what you do is insert a real PS2 game, select your codes, then start it up, right on the next screen eject the disk and insert your backup, and if the codes you selected were for the backup game it should load up and the codes will work. Sometimes there are codes for ARmax that nobody made for Codebreaker, or vice versa. Last edited by crimsonedge; 11th-August-2011 at 23:33.
Hi everyone, im new to this forum What i have: 1. I have a PS2 slim SCPH-70100 PAL (i'm in europe) with freemcboot Vr1. Spartiti Per Pianoforte Pdf. 8 installed in my memory card 2.
Sawp macic Vr3.8 with coder (retail, NOT backup) 3. Burned Action replay MAX cd ESR patched What i've tried so far: 1. Install codebreaker on freemcboot menu.result: failed, codebreaker doesn't boot at all (from what i've learned codebreaker dosent work on pal) 2. Hotswap with action replay backup disk.result: failed, action replay stucks at MARYUS1010 screen (i've waited for about 20 min) 3.
Codebreaker via USB mass drive.result: sort of works, codebreaker boots fine but when i put the game in it keeps saying ' game did not start, please retry' For about a month now i've been trying to add cheat codes to my PS2 backups with no luck, i've tried numerous tutorials on the internet but none actually worked. I have two questions 1. Is it possible to use cheat codes on backups to begin with, or am i wasting my time? If it is possible, then can somebody please tell how to do it?
Please help thanks. I'm going out on a limb here. Codebreaker will run fine on PAL systems. Like suggested earlier, you have to have a TV capable of NTSC U/C signal. What I'm thinking is that it's a SCPH-750xx series or newer. With the slims, on those systems, Codebreaker does not like USB sticks plugged in.
Doing this will cause it to hang on launch of CB. My next line of thought is that there is an improper CB_launch.elf, or it doesn't exist on the memory card. Free Download Of Microsoft Ppsspp Games For Ios. To play ESR discs, I find that you need that small program to invoke OSDSYS to return to the hacked OSDSYS menu so that ESR can be launched from the memory card when a patched disc is inserted only after you have returned to that menu. Codebreaker obviously can't direct boot an ESR patched game. In short, what you need is a 16, or 32MB memory card with FMCB installed on it.
From there, you can place codebreaker, CB_launch.elf, and ESR.elf on it and not have the USB stick plugged in. This should solve the Codebreaker boot problem, and return you to a workable solution and still have enough space on your MC to save games. What you say is true, all unmodded ps2 have a model label on the bottom. Mine however does not (check image). Maybe it is due to the fact that is used? I don't know.I have no idea what modefications the previous owner may have done. One thing is certain though: it is not hardmodded.
Looks like somebody peeled off the stickers under your console. There's another way: boot into the OSD (remove your FMCB card and don't insert your Swapmagic disc, and let the PS2 boot up), and press TRIANGLE at the menu.
Look at the model number there. UPDATE ok i think i've solved the problem. Note: i'm using Dark cloud multi5 PAL ESR patched for this example what i did: • Download codebreaker elf v.10 and patcher from epforums • Create a boot folder in my usb storage device and copied codebreaker elf inside • Transfer the boot folder from my usb to my memory card slot 1 (mc0) witch is empty. Freemcboot is on my 2nd memory card • start codebreaker within ulaunch elf • go to ---->settings---->Auto Eject CD tray: OFF---->save • select cheats--->start game • I get back to ulaunchelf, i insert the disk in the tray and i select mc1:/boot/ESRloader elf results: Game: works codebreaker: works cheats: don't work Im am not sure but i think that i need to convert the NTSC cheats to PAL in order to work with the game.
