These past few months I’ve been mortified, not having been able to read a book just for the fun of it. So, as I carefully and attentively paced the rows and scanned the shelves of the Library upstairs @Wellgate, I couldn’t help but burst with excitement as I saw and subsequently reached to pull out Tina Fey’s biography from the Celeb Lives section – which, by the way, doesn’t make me shallow, if you know who I’m talking about. Of course, if you regularly watch SNL and/or 30 Rock, I need not introduce this lady to you.

😛 I could start with a description of the whole story of how I came to know about her and watch 30 Rock, but I’m going to just keep it short and put out what I set out to. 🙂 I just finished reading the book though, and I must say that I warmly recommend it because of her characteristic humour, derived from real life sarcasm (dontcha’ know 😛 ). Within the book, I have discovered a section that I liked, because I found this whole improv thing to be a big part of our lives. Speaking in public, presenting and what not. Here they are, and here’s hoping we can improv our lives 😛. The Rules of Improvisation That Will Change Your Life and Reduce Belly Fat* The first rule of improv is AGREE. Always AGREE and say YES.

This can be a good thing, or a bad thing, which I'm not here to discuss per se, but it is funny to think about in perspective (not to mention how true the words written above. When you’re improvising, this means you’re required to agree with whatever your partner has created. Now, obviously, in real life you’re not always going to agree with everything anyone says. But the Rule of Agreement reminds you to „respect what your partner has created” and to at least start from an open-minded place. Start with a YES and see where it takes you. As an improviser, I always find it jarring when I meet someone in real life whose first answer is no. „No, we can’t do that.” „No, it’s not within budget.” „No, I will not hold your hand for a dollar.” What kind of way is that to live? The second rule of improv is not only to say yes, but YES, AND.

You’re supposed to agree and then add something of your own. If I start a scene with „I can’t believe it’s so hot in here,” and you just say, „Yeah” and we’re kind of at a stand-still. But if I say, „I can’t believe it’s so hot in here,” and you say, „What did you expect? We’re in hell.” Or if I say, „I can’t believe it’s so hot in here,” and you say, „Yes, this can’t be good for the wax figures.” Or if I say „I can’t believe it’s so hot in here,” and you say, „I told you we shouldn’t have crawled into this dog’s mouth,” now we’re getting somewhere. To me YES, AND means don’t be afraid to contribute. It’s your responsibility to contribute.

Always make sure you’re adding something to the discussion. Your initiations are worthwhile. The next rule is MAKE STATEMENTS. This is a positive way of saying „Don’t ask questions all the time.” If we’re in a scene and I say, „Who are you? Where are we?

What are we doing here? What’s in that box?” I’m putting pressure on you to come with all the answers. In other words: Whatever the problem, be part of the solution. Don’t just sit around raising questions and pointing out obstacles. We’ve all worked with that person.

That person is a drag. It’s usually the same person around the office who says things like „There’s no calories in it if you can eat it standing up!” and „I felt menaced when Terry raised her voice.” MAKE STATEMENTS also applies to us women: Speak in statements instead of apologetic questions. No one wants to go to a doctor who says, „I’m going to be your surgeon? I’m here to talk to you about your procedure? I was first in my class at Johns Hopkins, so?” Make statements, with your actions and your voice. Instead of saying „Where are we?” make a statement like „Here we are in Spain, Dracula.” Okay, this may not seem like a terrible start to a scene, but this leads us to the best rule: THERE ARE NO MISTAKES, only opportunities.

If I start a scene as what I think is very clearly a cop riding a bicycle, but you think I’m a hamster in a hamster wheel, guess what? Now I’m a hamster in a hamster wheel. I’m not going to stop everything to explain that it was really supposed to be a bike. Maybe I’ll end up being a police hamster who’s been put on „hamster wheel” duty because I’m too much of a loose cannon in the field. In improv there are no mistakes, only beautiful happy accidents. Ever since the internet has begun spreading to wider areas of the globe, people have found it increasingly easy to start writing and posting content of their own. This can be a good thing, or a bad thing, which I’m not here to discuss per se, but it is funny to think about in perspective (not to mention how true the words written above ring, in many cases 😛 ). Along the years, as I can recall, many articles have been posted to aid bloggers: how to reach more readers, how to make money out of blogging, how to do this and that but I’ve never seen an article that would discuss internet censorship per se.

I may have not searched deep enough, but, if I have to go that deep to find such an article, then I’d say it’s not that well represented or spread, which confirms the relevance of the present article. Actually, the present part of the article. 🙂 In this first part, I’m aiming at discussing internet censorship and its effects. Ofc I’m going to focus on blogging in particular. Ok, so, in order to understand internet censorship, it’s necessary to understand what intellectual property is and why it is important. Intellectual Property is intangible property (tradable assets) created by individuals or corporations, which is subject to protections under trade secret, copyright and patent law. First of all, what is copyright, what is design protection and what is a patent?

How can they be easily identified and differentiated from one another? What’s the one thing that will always make people go silent? That no one can say absolutely anything about, with total confidence that that would be the case. The one thing that scares us most, precisely because we have no idea of what actually happens behind the scenes or afterwards? I wasn’t planning to begin with this, but my attention was caught irrevocably by Ben Breedlove’s message, as was Kid Cudi’s and everyone else’s around the world.

Chances are you might have found out about it already. Initially, I stumbled upon it through Mashable, but I preferred to see the videos myself.

Looks like the rest of the world did too, because, in one day (30th of December), he gathered as much as 1 million views per each of the two following videos. That point where he’s been 3 times before his death, I’ve been in once. The way I see his message, there are three essential lessons that we can take from there. The first lesson is inevitably linked to the idea of death. Maybe we are more scared of it than we should be. Maybe it’s just a passing towards something new, that we are currently unaware of.

Even though we like to believe that we’re in control and try to elude some experiences in life, we are all certain to pass through this, sooner or later. We might as well accept that and get to living. Like Jobs once said (and I will put it differently), maybe the best thing about life is that it has a deadline. Makes you aware and helps you appreciate everything more. A bit more into it, the truth is that yes, it indeed feels like you’re headed towards the most peaceful place in the world, when you die. True, the last sense you lose is that of hearing. And, whatever happens to you after you lose consciousness, you don’t feel bad about being there and you don’t feel like coming back, either.

The second notable lesson is about how lucky some people are, to be given the chance and time to say goodbye and leave their affairs in order. A chance that not everyone gets. You never know. It might be a blessing in disguise.

The third and ultimate lesson says that we are but passengers. Time goes by extremely fast. We should value our time. WE are the ones who won’t be here forever, like George Carlin would say. By chance, I’ve recently watched „Tuesdays with Morrie”, which I wholeheartedly recommend, because it puts things into perspective, the way science will never be able to.

And, on a final note – thank you, 2011. It’s been bittersweet. These past weeks have been quite hard and ongoing busy. Now, I know that this is what I wanted. It’s exciting. It’s mind-blowing. If there’s anyone to blame, that would be me – could have just stayed home, but I decided to go hard, otherwise that wouldn’t have been me.

Living with „what if”s is my Achille’s heel, so I took my chances. I’ve written a bit about everything: how lovely it is over here, how nice and friendly the people are, how amazing it is to take part in their traditions and really experience something that was my wish to experience since I was, like8. Before I came here, I didn’t know what was worse: living with the desire to and fear of something that I really want, or the doing it and failing? I kind of made up my mind knowing only that I couldn’t stand the „what if” anymore. The first two months were bliss while I got that out of the way.

And then the other one kicked in. I have to prove who I am to people again, learn the new way of doing things and it’s overwhelming, to say the least. It’s pretty challenging. I’m rebuilding. But when it comes down to it and I get out of myself, the overview strikes me once again – thanks to watching the AIESEC Romania RYLF awards gala yesterday evening. I began high school as a pupil. It took a lot of work to make a name for myself and win those distinctions, gain the trust of those people. Then I went to college, moved away from home – reduced to one of the 1500 something people that were all studying economics, a totally different topic from what I had done before. But pretty soon I was working, studying with 1st class hon, volunteering, at the same time.

The end part, where you get the award, is just the glamourous part, really. It takes many late nights when you’re wondering who put you up to this You know, watching the awards gala made me reminisce of how we got the Exchange Award in 2009.

It was I can’t describe it in words. At the end there’s the Ambassador of South Africa handing you a prize in front of people from all over the country and the world, you’re pretty happy and sure that you and your people deserve it, looking good out ther, in your smart outfits. It’s an amazing moment because the effort you put in is acknowledged! But my, oh, my, what effort was put in behind the scenes. 🙂 Talking to Geo last night helped us realize that yes, we’re both, yet again, back to square 1.

It’s hard, but no one said it would be easy. Every choice has its highs and lows. We did the best with what we could, when we had to make a decision. The destination is not it. Not even the experience is. It’s not just about the ward it’s the whole story and what you take from it, that actually makes a difference.

It’s who you become. Needed a reminder – so bad. Congratulations to AIESEC Iasi, AIESEC Constanta, AIESEC Timisoara and AIESEC Brasov for the awards! Ioana here, and I know – I haven’t posted in a while. I am now compelled to write in English, so there.

Feel free to leave your comments in Romanian though, I won’t become a comment-nazi. 🙂 Two months + 7 days along my MSc program and I am already starting to feel Dundee as familiar. I have finally learned how to properly cross the street and the new „circulation” rules. Also, I can now distinguish among the diverse types of coins. I have finally adapted to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) so I do not wake up hours before everyone else anymore. Autumn is now presenting itself gracefully, but I might just have become accustomed to the weather, since I don’t find it to be freezing anymore.

Moreover, I have had people telling me that I am under-dressed, whereas they were freezing. I do not know if that was true, since I did not feel the cold as much as I used to in the beginning. I found it warmer since I last returned from London, in October.

Or it may just be that I have changed my lifestyle and find it to be so because I am more active. Can’t really complain about it being cold after a 30 minute walk/run to the Uni everyday, when I return, late in the evening, as I go uphill or, generally, going wherever, because time is so much of the essence nowadays. Today has been foggy though, so I am worried that snow will come soon. Not too soon, I hope.

🙂 Halloween has passed and so has Guy Fawkes, and I have experienced them somewhat; Halloween is not such a big holiday over here as it might be in America perhaps, and I am sure that it was a lot more fun for the children, whereas we students had so many assignments at the same time that some of us found it nauseating to „attend” anything else. I promised myself that I would make up for it on Guy Fawkes, but, I’m afraid I did not have much time to enjoy that either. Although it WAS beautiful and the weather was amazing, given the early November time. Fireworks were coming out of everywhere, and it was quite important over here, I presume, since they were still at it launching fireworks yesterday and they did the same today. 🙂 There were two main points of attraction: Lochee Park and Baxter Park and people are still arguing over which one was louder. 😛 Here’s enough to get an idea on how it was 😀: It was amazing. And me in the spirit of the holiday 😛 At Uni, I can thankfully say it’s all well so far, since it is much more intense than what I was previously accustomed to.

I am doing my best to bridge the gaps between me and my peers and I have also become the MSc student representative. The last weeks have been well spent doing 3 Software Engineering assignments plus one from Computer graphics and the interviews for the Technology Innovation Management module, which „bestowed” upon us the pleasure of speaking with special management people from Amazon (Scotland), IBM (Virginia, US), Cisco (Scotland), Administrate(US) and iTAC software (Germany). Only one left, „Freescale”. Amazing how many differences there are between what we are studying and how things are actually done but I will post more about that later on. Need to gather the whole of the data. 🙂 Again, I will end by saying that it’s great to be here, it’s great to study in this field and it’s amazing how much I have the chance to experience by being a student here.

I had prepared a speech for letting go of this blog. I have been struggling to have time to post the way I used to, since 2009, because naturally, over the years, my life has become more crowded with important events and passings, transitions and duties, old and new, that I have to fulfil. It’s not hard to understand. But I know now the value of commitment. My fellow @ers back me up on this. I have some readers that come back to my blog now and then and occasional readers coming in from Facebook and Google searches, Twitter. I have come to think about it and realize a couple of things.

However hard they try, Facebook will never be WordPress. That is because I was thinking of moving over there instead. I can go way back with my memories about blogging. Blogspot I didn’t like, moved to WP and stuck to WP.

Going way back, it even gets romantic at a certain point. 🙂 Why would I ditch my primary way of expressing myself, where the only constrain is that I can’t put up my own, custom-made, design, yet? This is where I can actually share my view on the world. Been neglecting that lately, whether from lack of time, strongly changing circumstances, elsewhere focus or just sadness accompanied by lack of words and the desire to write. But I DO have opinions and an attitude meant to shift perspectives for the better.

Why would I want to stop doing that? Why would I stop trying to? I have come a long way this past year when it comes to understanding what commitment is all about.

And I’m not only referring to the meaning of relationships between people, but also commitment to yourself (that you will achieve your goals etc.), to others, to excellence, commitment to do something that will remain long after you’re gone. If Seth Godin can do a short post per day, then so can I.

Seeing as that guy is (now) definitely busier than I am, then what’s my excuse? There’s always a topic to discuss. There’s always something that can be improved. Although that isn’t saying that I am actually going to post every day. 😛 The only reason why I would actually stop posting is because, I admit, there are times when I am actually scared to get my ideas out in the open.

It’s „terrible”(at the border between awful and exciting) to be one of those people who need to express themselves outside their own comfort zone, but it’s challenging and provocative and worthwhile because it gives you feedback. You put yourself out there and people respond. Whether bad or good, they cared to. You sparked interest.

You’ve got something to say, something to contribute with. You may be one of the millions of voices out there, but you have something to say, and that makes all the difference in the world. I used to think too much and get entangled in meanings and wondering what people would think if I said something and about what I said or did, but then I realized a couple of things: I am merely human, people’s lives are definitely not the same, and everyone learns at their own pace. So now I would rather ask, do, go the distance. It’s worse not to care enough to get out there and put your idea up for criticism. Haters will hate, lovers will love, there will be haters who will love and lovers who will hate your content and design and whatever, but, at the end of the day, you made someone believe in something, or feel something, or think about something, maybe even helped someone improve something. You made them realize something that maybe escaped their minds because they have their own lives to worry about, you may bring up some good idea that gets good feedback so you can work on it and level up There’s a universe of possibility as long as you can just get yourself out there, get through the fear of being rejected and understand that not everyone has to like you.

That not everyone has to care. That not everyone has to laugh or cry with you. And it’s ok. Because you’re human. You’re not perfect.

You’re learning and you WILL gradually get better at telling your story. No one in this world can do what Pinky and the Brain or Mojo Jojo attempted. Whoever thinks they can take over the (whole) world is in for a shock.

No one person can do it or ever could. And it’s just the way things are. The secret lies in getting used to that. Not that I want to take over the world.

Hmm, maybe I went too much into it. 😛 I won’t promise to be the perfect blogger or the most frequent posting blogger, or the most brilliant blogger.

Si nici nu vreau sa ma mai gandesc la vraful de reclame si plicuri cu “ai fost selectionat in finala, dar trebuie sa cumperi un rahat de 300 lei sa castigi miliarde de euro”. Am atata ura pe toti nesimtitii care suna oriunde si de peste tot sa propuna ei marea chestie si tu le zici ca nu te intereseaza si ei insista sa te pacaleasca. Mai Mihai, du-te tata la o munca adevarata! Nu mai freca nervii oamenilor telemarketingule arestat in birou, ce sa zic!

Asa cum au patit toti aia pe care ii deranjai pe propriul numar si fara sa isi fi dat acordul sa le freci tu soneria cu ofertele tale cretine. Tu le-ai arestat altora intimitatea, nervii si timpul liber si acum altii te aresteaza pe tine! E bine, ma, ia zi?! Crede-ma ca il urasc din suflet si instinctiv pe acest mihai care impreuna cu congregatia lui de spammeri nenorociti violeaza non-stop cutiile de posta, mailurile si telefoanele cu zeci si sute de oferte inutile si enervante.

Si punem pariu ca mihaita asta care e “printre cei mai buni la vanzari” i-a ars din vorbe la greu pe oameni gen maica-ta, bunica-ta si taica-tu care abia stie sa foloseasca un telefon? Ce om sanatos ar vrea sa se lege la cap cu abonamentele mizerabile din telefonia romaneasca? Numai aia care cred ca dand bani popilor nu mai ajung in cazan si care cred din suflet ca daca sticla aia de ulei primita la alegeri e doar inceputul bunastarii. Daca toti oamenii ar avea un minim de educatie si cap pe umeri acest mihai si satra lui nu ar mai avea loc de munca, Zi-mi si mie un singur produs care se vinde prin telemarketing/teleshoping care sa nu se dovedeasca ulterior de o calitate mizerabila la un pret exorbitant. Inclusiv toate ofertele astea “tentante” de prelungit abonamente si luat in freza apoi.

Alex, ori sunt eu proasta ori tu esti cel mai mare cretin. Cine dracu suna ma la vodafone la departamentul de marketing? Cand vrei sa iti faci un abonament nu te duci la magazin? Suni, te redirecteaza la departamentul lui peste si aia iti fac oferte peste oferte? Iti zic eu tie bai cretinule mihai e in clica alora care dau bip cu nr de vodafone si tu suni ca proasta inapoi si e un rahat de robot care iti zice niste mega oferte. Sau care te suna sa iti propuna rahatul de pe bat cand mai e putin si ti se termina abonamentul, iar cat timp ai avut nu au dat 2 bani pe tine. Si mai stii ceva bai acesta?

Cand lucrezi pentru dracu’ asteapta-te sa-ti arunc o galeata de aghiazma in cap, sa-ti trag un sut in fund si un crucifix in freza. Annete esti de-a dreptul cretina. Ai lucrat vreodata pe vanzari ca sa iti dai cu presupusul? Stii ce inseamna ca in 6 luni de zile sa te contacteze doar o firma pentru vanzari? Oamenii astia trebuie sa isi castige cumva painea.

Oameni ca tine sunt 10 din 100. Din astia de au tarana in loc de creier. Este simplu sa spui: nu ma intereseaza, multumesc! De ce sa injuri un om care isi face meseria? Doar pentru ca atat te duce mintea?

Vai de capu tau! P.s: nu imi sta in fire sa injur oamenii, dar annete este redusa mintal nu gluma. Un Mihaita de-asta de la romtelecom l-a sunat pe mosu-meu de 80 de ani cu o oferta.

Noi l-am auzit cand a spus clar la telefon ca nu vrea oferta. Peste o luna, surpriza la facura, i-au schimbat contractul conform ofertei. Si mosu meu la cei 80 de ani ai sai a fost pus pe drumuri sa-si rezilieze contractul de un jmecher care si-a facut treaba cum stie el mai bine si a facut vanzare. De atunci toata familia mea are un singur raspuns la oferte “irezistibile”:tonul. Inteleg nedreptatea ce-a suferit-o baiatul si-mi pare rau pt el. Poate e totusi un semn ca ar fi cazul sa se apuce de o munca demna si cu un salar decent.

Vorba aia, orice shut in fund e un pas inainte. Bag mana in foc ca sorana, clara si ciresica sunt 3 pitipoance care umbla cu 2 telefoane dupa ele. Ca oriunde au de stat 5 minute incep sa butoneze ca tampele telefonul. Ca sufera de ele ceva incredibil.

Ca barbatii sunt porci si ele printese. Ca totusi arunca scarbite teancul de reclame din cutia postala, ofteaza pline de emfaza cand trebuie sa bifeze x mesaje ca spam in mail si ca raspund la telefoanele de telemarketing intepate lasand impresia ca sunt mai mult decat ocupate si deranjate de la munca lor mega, super importanta si cu toate astea aici ca orice pitipoanca incearca sa para culmea educatiei, civilizatiei, intelepciunii si marinimiei. Dragele mele sa nu uitati 2 lucruri: cand va basiti miroase la fel ca si a unui barbat, iar cand mergeti la toaleta se intampla tot ca in cazul unui barbat. Asa ca mai lasati fandoseala asta infecta cum ca voi sunteti niste printese. Si da, acel baiat trebuie sa isi castige si el painea. La fel gandesc si hotii de buzunare.

Dar sunt convinsa ca toti cei care au avut de-a face cu genul asta de “bajeti” (ca sa fiu pe intelesul vostru dragele mele) nu au pic de compasiune pentru drama traita de saracul baietut de la tara care a vrut si el sa traiasca visul bucurestean, dar i-au tras-o niste nenorociti de patroni. Asa ca scoateti degetul din nas fetelor (da, va vad pe geam) si mai lasati figurile astea de doamne prea distinse ca daca o dam in intrebari de cultura generala deveniti brusc ocupate cu “proiecte”, “deadlinuri” si alte parascovenii.

Arhi te rog sa aprobi si comentariul asta. Deci iata oameni buni cine imi zice mie ca sunt proasta. Ciresica care care toata viata ei a lucrat la. UN CALL CENTER!

Si care a studiat desigur ca orice romanca respectabila pr-ul. HAHAHAHA Ma intreb oare ce or lucra sorana si cealalta?:)))))))))) De fapt ma intreb pe la ce call-centere au “muncit” si ele Mai e ceva de spus?! Actual asistenta personala la Callessentially Anterior agent call center la ROMTELECOM agent vanzari la LINEA DIRECTA COMMUNICATION agent call center la TIKSHOOV ROMANIA 0 0 •. Annete este chiar dobitoaca. Tocmai pentru ca am lucrat in call center pot sa imi dau cu parerea. Pentru ca stiu cum sta treaba si stiu cum se poarta aia cu angajatii. Nu vad relevanta in discutia noastra in ceea ce priveste facultatea pe care am terminat-o.

Si nu draga, nu sunt nici pitipoanca, nu pun nici pliante in posta. Se pare ca in ochii tai multe meserii sunt o rusine. Din nou imi dai de inteles ca esti mai putin dotata la nivelul creierasului. Chiar nu ma mai obosesc sa raspund aberatiilor pe care le scrii.

@ attilla: faptul ca a insiruit toate locurile de munca unde am fost angajata nu ma impreioneaza cu nimic. Cv-ul meu este public si nu am de ce sa ma ascund. Daca vroiam sa fac asta nu mai postam pe facebook,ejobs sau bestjobs cv-ul meu.

Tanti de mai sus vede multe meserii ca fiind o rusine. Eu ma mandresc cu fiecare. Ganditi-va ca trebuie sa existe minimum o persoana care sa faca o treaba care, poate, altuia nu ii place. Asa toti eram directori si patroni. Si faptul ca te legi aiurea de un om care isi face meseria mi se pare de tot rasul. Hai sa ne luam si de aia care matura strazile, care spala wc-urile si tot asa.

Sunt meserii rusinoase. @ciresica: aia nu este o meserieeste un jobo mica diferenta. Si nu exista job rusinos.dar multe joburi sunt transformate in unele de cacat de catre cei care le indeplinesc. Faptul ca tanti annete le-a insiruit arata faptul ca nu esti obiectivasi e normal sa zici ca jobul pe care-l faci nu este de cacao si te mandresti cu elindiferent cat de naspa il consideri tu in tine in momentele de intimitate psihica.se numeste stadiul negarii. In plus, in unul dintre comentariile tale te plangeai ca in 6 luni ai sanse sa te contacteze o singura firma de vanzari.asta nu-ti da nici un drept sa-ti motivezi anumite actiuni.asa e in vanzariintr-o zi castigi meleoaneintr-o zi o mai si sugi ca sa ai ceva cald in stomac.nu poti castiga tot timpul 0 0 •. @annete – da, confirm, esti proasta. O gramada de oameni care reprezinta societati comerciale – firme, pe intelesul tau – suna la departamentul de marketing pentru a cere oferte.

Ce sa faca, sa mearga in mangazin, sa discute cu vanzatorul care nu poate sa le ofere nimic in afara grilei de abonamente clasice, cand el vrea 100 de abonamente? In alta ordine de idei, daca tu ti-ai luat abonament pe 2 ani ca sa-ti iei telefon ieftin, ce pana mea te asteptai, sa te linga in cur cat timp erai obligata sa ramai la ei?

Bucura-te ca te suna ei sa-ti faca oferte, asta arata ca nu te cred atat de proasta incat sa ramai pe acelasi abonament imputit dupa ce expira perioada – chestie discutabila, avand in vedere elucubratiile tale anterioare. Chiar nu ma intereseaza parerea unei bagaboante cu vocabular de mahala care nu a fost toata viata in stare decat sa stea cu casca in ureche, sa citeasca un script tamp si sa arda tot felul de fraieri.

Are importanta ce facultate ai terminat piarizdo. Toate gogomanele fara creier gasesc in facultatile de pr niste mici oaze in care sa se ascunda 3 ani pana gasesc un fat-frumos care sa le bage o chiftea in stomac. Tu esti cel mai bun exponent. Cand o sa ai in viata vietii tale cea mai simpla afacere posibila sau macar un job unde sa ai o minima responsabilitate, alta decat daca e scaunul prea sus sau prea jos sau daca este displayul curat atunci sa latri cu atata dusmanie. Nu e rusinos sa lucrezi in call centere, dar cant toata viata atat ai putut permite-mi sa am mari rezerve in ceea ce priveste calitatile tale intelectuale.

Ala e job de student. Si nu mai amestica “sclav la call center” cu “om de vanzari”. Omul de vanzari e ala care vine la 4 ace cu o mapa iti expune coerent fara sa te streseze niste idei si de foarte multe ori ii dai o semnatura. Ceea ce faci tu si mihai si altii e altceva. Va mintiti singuri ca se numeste “om de vanzari”, dar sunteti de fapt niste sclavi telefonisti stresanti. Egali cu puscariasii aia din bacau care pana si ei lucreaza la un call center.

Asa ca lasa arfele si mofturile astea de pitipoanca piarizda ca nu vei fi niciodata nimic mai mult decat o telefonista. Nu am comentat nicio data pana acum desi te citesc de mult, nu am simtit nevoia, acum insa nu ma lasa piticii.

Primul meu job a fost la cgs, la momentul acela il apreciam cum probabil o face si baiatul asta. Vremurile au trecut, munca de acum e platita de cateva zeci de ori mai bine asa ca sa zicem ca vb cu ceva experienta in spate. Ce descrie el acolo e parfum, compania aia e una din cele mai mari mizerii existente ever. Am avut insa vreo doi colegi care au patit si ei chestii asemanatoare, insa fata de restul au avut sange in instalatie si nu s’au lasat intimidati. Au ajuns la plangeri si sesizari peste tot. Au mai lucrat amandoi acolo luni bune dupa aceea desi “conducerea” nu ii inghitea, cgs-ul fiind urecheat oficial atunci de itm.

Ii recomand sa nu se lase intimidat, cu o coloana dreapta dormi mai bine noaptea. Ps: din ce oras este cazul, poti afla? @ ioana Povestea este ca nu ar trebui sa dam 2 bani pe oamenii care ii ard literalmente pe fraieri cu prelungiri de abonament, saltele dormeo si mega cutite. Oamenii astia merita tot dispretul din lume.

Daca esti bun in vanzari du-te si vinde produse validate de cererea lor. Nu arde bunici si bunice care nici nu pricep ce e dincolo de geam, cu telefoane fixe care nu sunt atat de fixe, cu mega abonamente si vrajeli ieftine.

Du-te dracu si vinde ceva corect, calitativ si de bun simt. Nu mai vinde iluzii pe bani multi. Si pana la urma ma intreb care este diferenta intre mihai si unul care incearca sa te prosteasca cu maretul mlm? In final constati pe propria piele ca ti-ai pierdut banii.

Cand un om are nevoie de o optiune suplimentara, de un abonament sau telefon nu asteapta sa-l sune mihai si liotca lui. Se duce, si-l cumpara si isi face treaba in continuare. Astia care il fac pe mihai “mare vanzator” sunt tot aia care cumpara toate prostiile de pe la tv si abia asteapta sa li se propuna ceva la telefon sa isi toace pensia pe rahaturi. Ca daca ar fi avut nevoie de ele le aveau deja. Care sunt sansele ca majoritatea celor sunati sa fi avut nevoie de exact ce oferea mihai, exact in momentul ala nu cu 2 sau 3 zile inainte. Fix atunci cand se gandeau ei “ia uite ba ce mi-as mai prelungi eu abonamentul la vodafone sa isi mai bata aia joc de mine” ii suna mihai Deci nu e vorba de vrajeala si pacalirea efectiva a omului flamand de orice dupa 40 ani de comunism?!

E vorba ca s-a intalnit cererea cu oferta fix in secunda potrivita. Pentru mine nu e nicio diferenta intre mlm, teleshoping, telemarketing si ofertele care ti se propun de vodafone si orange prin telefon. Am 10 ani de call center. De la representative la manager in momentul asta. Pe unde am fost eu abuzuri nu am vazut si banutii vsunt bunu de a primul nivel pana la ultimul cat iti vezi de treaba.

Agentii mei castiga daca vand mai bine ca mine ca manager, totul e sa vrea. La CGS stiu ca e fostul Easycall, infintat de un fost angajat connex, Sterescu. Omul e super de treaba, dar nu are cu sa dea 1000EUR la agenti asa cum viseaza unii. Iar legea e aceeasi pentru toti, nu te poti pisa pe angajat sa ii zici ca nu merge la baie si alte kkturi ca te umfla ITM cu amenzi de nu te vezi. Probabil e o scapare a unui TL prea distrus care o sa si-o i la randul lui 0 0 •. Aia de la CGS ii platesc regulat pe aia de la ITM. Asta se intampla de ani de zile!

Cutra de la ITM intra frumos in birou la Vladimir Sterescu, directorul general si acolo primeste CASH! A fost vazuta faza de nenumarate ori. ITM nu verifica nimic la CGS unde de ani de zile angajatii sunt abuzati, li se fura banii cu obligatia de a avea salariul varsat (obligatoriu!) in cont la BRD etc etc etc.

Pauza e pe calculator de 15 minute fix si esti obligat sa vii la munca si sa bootezi mizeria de PC numai si numai pe timpul tau! Cautati pe net ca sunt niste chestii despre CGS de te apuca groaza. Poate merita precizat si cine-i patronul CGS un mare jidovski ucrainean, stabilit acum mult timp la New York! Cat de baba, dobitoaca sau greu de abordat e tantinu stiuda ma gandesc ca poate o avea si ea un pic de dreptate pe undeva. (chiar daca o expune “un pic” haotic) eu am patit o chestie d’asta cu un “tanar vanzator de top de pe proiectul lui” care incerca sa-i vanda un cacat enorm de scump maica-mii. Pentru acel tanar am devenit si eu “clientul ala invechit care era sa ma bata, noroc ca mi-am strans produsul de prezentare si am iesit repede” si daca vrei sa-ti testezi maxim abordabilitatea si gradul de invechiredu-te la un Mc si cere un hamburger.

Sa vezi la cate intrebari puse de un “vanzator de top” va trebui sa raspunzi doar ca sa mananci un rahat. @corco: daca te referi la vanzatorul din usa in usa.ala face un job cu mine care sunt cat de cat adaptat la ziua de azi nu face cu bunica-miu de 89 sau maica-mea de 60 pe care asta enu-i mai pot reeduca oricat mi-as dori. Si el stie asta ca altfel si-ar axa targetul pe oameni de 40-50 ani maximnu ar incerca sa explice calitatile “rozatoarei voerner” unuia care a fost invatat ca nu e frumos sa zici NU din prima.

Daca te referi la vanzatorul din call centerala face afaceri singurdupa cum vrea el (sau cel putin are puterea asta).si firmele care-i angajeaza stiu si ele astasi pe ele le incanta faptul ca cineva le aduce vanzari si pe el ca cineva il premiaza chiar daac pe un fals. Si asta se vede in modul de relationare cu clientul. La romtelecom.daca vrei sa activezi o optiune cevae de ajuns sa suni si s-a rezolvat. Daca vrei in schimb sa renunti la o optiune sau abonament trebuie sa trimiti mailcu cerere scanatasa suni pentu confirmareplm. Problema este ca acele extraoptiuni le poti cere tu (si atunci e totul ok) sau te poate suna cineva de la ei.tu ii zici ca nu vreisi a doua luna te trezesti cu ea activata pentru ca se poate fara cerere scanata si alte rahaturi ex2. S-a vazut acum cativa ani la mirificul pilon 2, unde era de ajuns sa ai o copie de buletin pentru a-l inscrie pe unu in sistem, cati au fost inscrisi la 2-3 societati.si copii de buletin sunt multeca la fiecare angajator ai lasat o copie annete cu genul asta de oameni are problemesi eu la fel. Pentru ca astia nu sunt vanzatori.

Vanzator e ala din banc de pleaca de la un tampon si ajunge la yaht. Astia sunt niste pulifrici cu forta click-ului langa ei. Eu nu zic ca Mihai ar fi de genul asta, vina pe care i-o atribui in situatia descrisa se bazeaza pe cu totul alt rationament 0 0 •.

Si eu consider ca, daca doresc ceva, caut eu si ma interesez. URASC din tot sufletul absolut orice oferta sau anunt, nu dau subscribe la nimic si tot am zeci de emails aiurea pe zi.

Si, daca da dracu’ sa deschid telefonul, am pus-o. Deci impartasesc scarba fata de indivizii astia si as prefera sa fiu lasata in pace. Dar, la cat de cinstiti sunt cei de la ITM, cred ca ramanem doar cu o poveste savuroasa si Mihai cu dracii aferenti. Eu ma refer la cazurile generale cand ajungi in loc sa blamezi institutia/compania, tu sa “urasti” omul pentru faptul ca-si face treaba legal si castiga un salariu. Din cate am observat multi il acuza ca pe “Mihai” ca suporta astfel de practici. Poate omul nu are alta alternativa in acest moment si bancile ii “bat” la usa, poate isi cauta alt ceva si pana va avea posibilitatea sa plece la mai bine, trage cu dintii de banii respectivi. @Attilla Ai dreptate pe jumatate. Suporti cu stoicism pana iti gasesti alt ceva dar totul pana la o limita.

E foarte usor sa faci afirmatii cand nu esti pus in situatia respectiva. In contextul economic actual, firmele ( unele sau marea majoritate ) se comporta astfel deoarece la usa sunt alti 100 care iti pot lua locul si sa accepte conditiile. Pacat, te resemnezi injuri si pleci mai departe. Referitor la oamenii din vanzari, am avut contact cu astfel de oferte, unele le-am acceptat alte nu.

Am avut decenta sa ii ascult, sa inteleg ce vor si mai ales bunul simt sa imi pot exprima frustrarile fata de compania ce o reprezinta si nu fata de persoana ce suna. @Attilla Corect! ( sa zicem 99% ), daca accepti e vina ta si te consemnezi. Si totusi.totusice faci cand se intampla asa ceva? De ce crezi tu ca intalnim astfel de cazuri ( si multe altele ) in societatea noastra? Sa nu o numim neaparat ca fiind lasitate sau nesimtire.

Nu ridicam gunoiul de jos ca doar “e treaba altuia”. Nu ajutam colegii, “pentru ca e posibil sa castige mai mult ca mine”. Nu ii spunem sefului ca a gresit, “daca ma da afara”., etc. Faptul ca s-a intamplat un lucru anormal ( exemplul Mihai ) trebuie neaparat sa spunem ca e vina lui si ne doare in cot, in loc sa incercam macar prin publicizarea cazului ca cineva ( cu autoritate ) sa ia o decizie?

Probabil multi la firma in cauza sunt studenti care au nevoie de un job de inceput si nu cred ca sunt neaparat toti “dobitoci”. Nici o firma mare nu are sindicat. Sindicat gasesti numai in fostele intreprinderi de stat privatizate. “tinerele generatii” si-au refuzat in totalitate acest drept in privinta asta fiecare face ce poate.eu am zis ca nu voi accepta nimic in plus de facut fara o modificare a beneficiilor sau o crestere a numarului de oameni din echipa. Nu mi-a adus aprecierea sefilor.dar nici nu transform jobul pe care-l fac intr-unul de cacao.

Maine poate nu mai muncesc aicidar nici nu are rost sa le fac viata naspa celor care vor fi doar ca sa apar eu pe gazeta de perete. Asta este metoda mea de lupta si fiecare trebuie sa si-o gaseasca pe a lui pana sa ajungi sa ai una comuna 0 0 •. Yasser, daca aia este singura ta solutienu te plangi de ea.

E cam si cum un vidanjor s-ar plange acasa la nevasta ca are o slujba de cacao. Stiue usor sa spui ca pleci in alta parteunde in alta parte?!la alta firma unde esti tratat cu acelasi sictir, sau nicaieri ca e criza si nu se prea angajeaza?!

Uite ca nu stiam ca stateau pe toate gardurile posturile de +1000 euro/luna ca ii dadeam tipului un mail. In tara asta eu am fost sa ma angajez la un moment dat, nu cu mult timp in urma, la un notarla unul de ala care invarte banii cu lopatami-a oferit 1000 de ron pe 8 ore de munca si in cartea de munca salariul minim pe economie.

Deci la cei 1000 ron net nu ii dadea mana sa mi-i treaca pe toti in acte, el intorcand banii, repet, cu lopata. Asta e lumea reala de care habar nu aveti voiin lumea reala sefii si patronii se pisha pe angajati pt ca “mai am o suta de prosti ca tine la usa”Interesant e cum se ia apararea sefilorde asta la noi la greve se danseaza pinguinu’ 0 0 •. Nimeni nu are pretentia sa cunosti deja aplicatia in care vei lucra sau ofertele lor. Daca ei te invata tot ce vei folosi la jobul respectivcat dracu sa dea? Date duci si incerci si in alta partecu riscul de a fi tratat mai rau. Nu e normal sa accepti la 25 de ani sa te futa unul zilnic doar de frica unei puli mai groase.

Dar daca dai peste mai bine? Niciodata firmele capusa nu au platit bine. Una erau conditiile din Vdf sau Oro si alta sunt conditiile din firmele astea derivate din fosti sefuti de pe acolo. Daca vrei salariu te duci la o firma de apartament. De obicei un patron mai mic te va plati mai bine dupa ce te vede la munca si este multumit de tine ca el n-are 2000 de angajati sa-si permita sa-i schimbe ca pe ciorapi. Dar nici nu vei ajunge project manager de PQM pe langa departamentul de HR si PR sa moara totii vecinii tai cand iti pui tablita pe poarta 0 0 •. @Soranaangajatorul plateste din banii produsi de angajati.

El nu ii face angajatului o favoare ca ii da salariul. Cand o firma are zeci de mii sau poate sute de mii de euro profit nu poti sa ii dai angajatului care iti face profitul ala 800 de lei+bonuri indiferent de cat muncestept ca din munca lui se face profitul. Sunt in Romania patroni de IMM-uri care au masini de 150.000 de euro, vile de 250.000 de euro si isi fac vacantele in Dubai, iar angajatii stau pe minimul pe economie. Tu ca patron intotdeauna vei considera ca angajatul e un puturos si de-abia munceste800 de ron?!deja e prea mult si vei considera ca firma are profit pt ca o manageriezi tu bine si nu pt ca prostul ala de angajat munceste bine. @attilate duci si incerci in alta parte daca iti da mana. Am mai spus aicisunt oameni care au rate la casa, copii de crescutoameni care nu isi permit sa stea 5-6 luni pe ZERO lei ca vor gasi mai bine in alta parte. Pe asta si mizeaza patronii care cum spunea Sorana, nu platesc mai mult decat considera ei ca merita sclavulo bucata de paine si un pahar cu apa deja e prea mult, mama lui de bulangiu puturos 0 0 •.

Eu as fi curios sa aud ce are de spus un superviser de la CGS despre baiatul asta.

Pentru ca momentan, avem in fata niste vorbe (reale sau nu), pe care nu ne putem baza. Doar nu era sa ne spuna, acest “Mihai”, ca el nu si-a facut targetele de fapt, ca intarzie la job mereu, sau o arde numai pe feisbuc pe telefon, in loc sa sune. Sunt convins ca sunt abuzuri peste tot, dar personal cred ca e putin exagerata povestea. Inteleg ca daca e “cel mai bun om pe vanzari”, are si bonusuri pe masura, asadar nu sta pe 800 de lei. Nu vad de ce ai sta, daca nu ti s-ar plati bonusurile, cu atat mai mult, nu vad de ce ai da mailuri de pe telefon, in loc sa iti misti curul la ITM, etc. Dar, ma rog, e doar parerea mea.

Ca sa nu mai pun la socoteala ca daca v-as arata niste cv-uri si daca as filma o parte din interviurile, cu unii ca voi, care cred ca tot ce zboara se mananca, care au terminat o facultate si au pretentii la salarii de 500 de euro, dar care nu stiu sa scrie, cred ca nu ati mai macani atat. Uite ca exista si oameni rationali, senzational, printre atatea mizerii nu credeam ca o sa vad si asa ceva. Lucrez intr-o firma de recrutare si vad zilnic astfel de cazuri, CV-uri de mizerie si pretentii de manageri. Cam asa sta treaba cu unii din tinerii de azi: Intrebare: Cum scoti Romania din criza? Raspuns: Cumperi un bucurestean la valoarea la care este (cu adevarat) si-l vinzi la valoarea la care se crede!

Evident ca Mihaita a relatat doar punctul lui de vedere, doar nu era prost sa povesteasca si despre performantele lui, despre aderenta la program, despre atitudinea la locul de muncahai sa fim seriosi, intotdeauna sunt 2 versiuni, si circul ala mi se pare de prost gust, toata tragedia lui Mihai e prea trasa de par. @filip, stiu poate sa ii dea si in judecataca in “Philadelphia”frumos filmnumai ca trebui sa ai bani si timp. I s-a transmis ca firma are bani sa il angajeze chiar pe Valeriu Stoica daca e cazulin plus poate sa dea si spaga la judecatori si se poate judeca pana in panzele albe, au si timp si bani pt astaA renuntatin viata e mai de kkt ca in filme.

P.S.Un om care spune despre sine ca e destept e egal cu zero. Nu esti destept ci doar plin de tine, un om destept nu se lauda 0 0 •. @yasser, asta cu i s-a transmis ca firma are bani si ca il angajeaza pe Valeriu Stoica, nu o halesc. Sunt nenumarate metode de a mediatiza, de a te agita, de a incerca. Asta cu “plm e greu, mai bine nu mai incerc”, nu mi se pare a fi o solutie. M-am judecat singur, fara avocat, 3 ani si jumatate cu militia, in 3 procese. Pe toate le-am castigat.

Dar un exemplu cu o femeie gravida, iti pot da si eu, care a dost la un pas sa pateasca la fel, insa cu contractul de munca si cel colectiv in dinti, s-a zbatut si pana la urma a reusit sa le-o dea peste bot. – Fac pariu ca cel mai activ job al tau a fost aproximativ 1 an. Nu pentru ca ar avea ei ceva impotriva ca tu sa-ti faci blog. Ci pentru ca ei pe langa talentul si pasiunea lor de a scrie articole, sint extrem de disciplinati. Si muncitori.

Sint foarte multi care stiu sa se exprime si sa scrie coerent, insa foarte putini care sint dispusi sa accepte constrangerile si sacrificile pe care ti le cere succesul iar eu te vad asa mai detasat din fire:-) adica nu cred ca esti cineva care ar investi asa de mult intr-un asemenea proiect 0 0 •. Maddy, este doar o chestiune de cat de des te suna cineva care doreste sa-ti vanda ceva. Daca primesti ca si mine cam 5 apeluri per zi, nu mai ai cum sa ramai politicos. Si nici indiferent. Si daca ai parte de cativa vanzatori foarte buni, ei nu te vor lasa in pace decat daca ridici tonul la ei si daca nici asta nu ajuta, doar daca ii injuri.

Ia cauta frumos in DEX sa vezi ce presupune. Si mai inseamna ca poti fi dat in judecata pt afirmatii calomnioase, ca deh, trebuie sa ne asumam raspunderea faptelor noastre. Si daca ai impresia ca te poti ascunde in spatele unui nick-name, iti spulber eu iluzia. Uite asa se procedeaza: daca una din partile calomniate da owner-ul blogului in judecata, acesta este obligat sa dezvalui IP-ul tau, si providerul de net va furniza datele tale. Si uite asa, ramai fara cateva zeci de mii de euro.

Iti spun asa, just fyipoate vrei sa gandesti si sa ai dovezi inainte de a arunci cu noroi. De gandit inainte sa scrii, nu cred ca poate fi vorba, nu lasi nici cea mai mica impresie ca ai avea ceva materie cenusie. @Vladla ce procese pierd firmele care te dau afara fara motive intemeiate crede-ma ca nu te da niciun sef afara cand i se scoala lui. Ce parere o avea un judecator cand esti dat afara fara preaviz, luat pe sus de paza si aruncat pe trotuar cand le spui cum le-a spus o fatuca mai deuna-zi ca a fost data afara ca avea tatele prea mari?!dar daca le zici ca ai fost dat afara ca esti evreu, crestin ortodox, negru, european, ca esti brunet si seful e blond, ca esti homo, ca nu esti homo, etc, etcnu cred ca in SUA te da cineva afara cand vrea muschiul lui fara sa se astepte la un proces.

Asta spun eu ca e reglementare a pietei munciiacolo regulile si legile iti dau dreptate daca o aila noi inspectorul ITM pe care il chemi tu sa constate abuzul isi ia spaga de la seful care te-a dat afara si tu o sugi trist. Buna Mihai, sunt totusi curios de cateva elemente. Tu sincer crezi ca poti schimba ceva? Ca firma dupa acest incident ( in cazul in care sunt asa cum se afirma ) se va metamorfoza sau macar atitudinea fata de angajati va fi diferita?

Crezi ca “reprezinti” luptatorul dreptatii in numele colegii tai si te-ai auto desemnat ca purtator de stindard? ( asta daca te mai saluta dupa ce s-a incheiat. La final ( indiferent de rezultat ) s-a meritat efortul pentru salariul ce a fost declarat?

Din punctul meu de vedere o lupta o duci atunci cand “castigurile” sunt mai mari decat resursele folosite. Esti bun, iti dai demisia si pleci la mai bine.

Nu ma intelege gresit, faci ce vrei si cum consideri de cuviinta dar nu te lasa aruncat intr-o invalmaseala de ideei marete doar pentru ca ai citit romane si poate am vazut prea multe filme cu happy end. In ultimii anii am senzatia ca a cam uitat lumea de el si e pacat. El a fost creat cu un scop; nobil as zice eu:). Avand in vedere ca abuzurile de acest gen au devenit din ce in ce mai frecvente cred ca e momentul sa il “resuscitam”.

Sa-l folosim. Si nu neaparat ca o arma a razbunarii, dar ca un tool de setare cat mai corecta a asteptarilor, ca o sursa de informatii. Pentru ca, zic eu, pentru fiecare angajator exista angajatu’ potrivit: si invers.

Stiu, piata muncii e cam praf si nu e “pe alese”. Dar consider ca e bine macar sa stim unde ne ducem cand ne angajam. Pentru ca de multe ori dupa ce am semnat un contract, caleasca se transforma in dovleac Vorbesc dupa o experienta foarte trista cu un angajator destul de malefic 0 0 •.
